The first steps towards building a backyard pottery were taken in the summer of 2023. Five seasons later, I can finally say that I'm done with the overall setup. I have a habit of never finishing projects completely - and I still have odds and ends to attend to - but I have promised to see it through. At least for now, I'm up and running.

Below is a list of folks who helped me get this far:

Fundamental Siteworks (Mt. Crawford). Site clearing and gravel foundation.

Helmuth Builders (Staunton). Shed.

The Right Touch Painting (Staunton). Drywall and painting.

AC Power (Staunton). Electrical.

Steve Hagadone (OBX). Plumbing.

I've taken care of the easier tasks myself, like insulating the shed and building the working surfaces. I still have more shelves to install, and maybe more work surface, but I'm going to live in the space for a while before committing to a final layout.

So, there you go! Post one of my journal with, hopefully, many more to come.
